Johnson Square
Johnson Square is the first and largest of Savannah's squares. It was named for the colonial governor of South Carolina, Robert Johnson, who was a friend of General Oglethorpe. The Revolutionary War hero Nathanial Greene is buried in Johnson Square. The obelisk in the center of Johnson Square is dedicated to him.
