Ripley's... Believe It or Not!

Are you a trivia fan? Love learning new and unique facts? If so, you need to stop by Ripley's...Believe It or Not! Odditorium. As the first Odditorium built in the United States in 1950, it is not only a historical legend but must-see destination for any St. Augustine Visitor. Step through the front door and you will start to see just how incredible the museum can be. As a life-long collector of oddities from around the world, Robert Ripley amassed not just incredible pieces, but tales and legends as well. Although Ripley was not alive to see the museum built, it was erected in his honor just one year after he died. It now welcomes thousands of visitors from around the world, and has inspired dozens of similar museums to be built across America. Not only does the museum hold artifacts and tales from around the globe, it is said to have something even more amazing: its own ghost! A young woman has been seen time and again around the museum, sobbing or walking its hallways. In fact, the building is a converted hotel where two women are believed to have died in the late 1800s. After researching the history of the museum, however, there are some who believe that the fire which was blamed for their deaths was actually set to mask their true fate as murder victims.
